Dr. Ninh Tran


COMOH Section Representative, South West Region

Dr. Ninh Tran has been in the field of public health for over 20 years, having graduated Community Medicine in 2009. He is currently the Medical Officer of Health of Southwestern Public Health service Oxford County, Elgin County, and the City of St. Thomas, having started this role in 2022. Previously he served as an Associate Medical Officer of Health for Hamilton Public Health Services for over 12 years. He is also a practicing primary care provider and has had both administrative and instructional duties with McMaster University’s Public Health and Preventive Medicine Residency Program in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evaluation, and Impact. Dr. Tran holds a medical degree from Queen’s University, a Master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Guelph, and a Master’s degree in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University.
