
alPHa Past Chair / BOH Section Representative, North West Region
Trudy Sachowski, Past Chair of the Association of Local Public Health Agencies (alPHa) and North West Region Board of Health Section Representative, is a passionate champion for public health. Appointed to Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU) Board of Health by the Municipality of Machin and the City of Dryden, she brings leadership, advocacy, and strategic guidance to Ontario’s public health initiatives. She is equally committed to supporting the autonomy of Ontario’s local public health agencies.
An Ontario Volunteer Service Award recipient, Trudy’s dedication to leadership has spanned the Northwest and across the province, including past service as Chair of the Ontario Parent Council, Chair of Northwestern Healthy Living Partnership, Chair of Dryden Public Library Board, and Vice Chair of Northwestern Early Years Steering Committee.
Trudy continues her public service and contributes her expertise as Vice Chair of Points North Family Health Team, Vice Chair of Northwestern Health Unit Board of Health and Chair of the Executive Committee, Chair of Kiiwetinoong Healing Waters Ontario Health Team Patient and Family Advisory Council, and as a member of Association of Municipalities of Ontario Health Transformation Task Force. A proud citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario, she brings her perspective and commitment to supporting diverse communities in all aspects of her work.
