Conny Glenn is a municipal leader, health professional, and advocate with more than 30 years of experience working at the intersection of health, public policy, governance, and community development. He currently serves as a City Councillor for the Sydenham District in Kingston, Ontario, where she chairs the Housing and Homelessness Advisory Committee and has served on the South East Health Unit and legacy KFL&A Public Health Unit for almost 10 years.
In the community Conny as hosted several National Health and Fitness Day events in support of encouraging communities be be more active. She also chaired the board of Turning Point Youth Services, a youth mental health agency and creating a strategic plan to ensure their long term sustainability.
A graduate of the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Conny has been the owner of Work Wellness Ergonomic Specialists Inc., a consulting firm specializing in occupational health, ergonomics, disability management, and workplace wellness. Throughout her career, she has worked with organizations across Canada to improve health outcomes, workplace performance, and organizational resilience.
She currently serves as the part-time Executive Director of the Canadian Kinesiology Alliance, where she leads national advocacy efforts focused on prevention, workforce development, and the integration of movement professionals into health systems.
Nationally, Conny serves on the Board of Directors of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and is Co-Chair of its Defence Task Force where she is advocating for the 'soft infrastructure' of proper health and childcare to support the military and their families. She is passionate about building healthier communities, strengthening public institutions, and advancing collaborative solutions to complex social and economic challenges.
