BOH Section Representative, Central West Region: John Bell, Councillor, Brant County.
John has been a Councillor in the County of Brant since 2018. He was a member of the Board of the Brant County Health Unit from 2018 - 2024, including 2 years as Chair. He is now Vice Chair of the Board of the recently formed Grand Erie Public Health. John is a member and past Chair of the Board of the Primacare Community FHT in the County of Brant and was instrumental in the building of a Community Health Hub in Paris. He additionally serves on and is a past Chair of the joint Brant/Brantford Social Services Committee.
He was born, raised and educated in the England and was a Chartered engineer (UK equivalent of Canadian P.Eng.). John worked internationally for Royal Dutch Shell for over 30 years prior to retirement. His skill set includes the management of large capital projects and improvements to organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
