Affiliate Representative, Association of Supervisors of Public Health Inspectors of Ontario (ASPHIO)

Heidi Pitfield brings over two decades of expertise in public health and currently serves as the Infection Prevention and Control Program Manager at the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. She also functions as the Professional Practice Lead for Public Health Inspection, providing leadership and guidance to advance best practices in the field.

Heidi holds a Bachelor of Science from Laurentian University, a Bachelor of Applied Science from Toronto Metropolitan University, and a Master of Public Health from Lakehead University.

She is a Certified Public Health Inspector and maintains a Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology.

A recognized voice in the profession, Heidi is a longstanding member of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors and the Association of Supervisors of Public Health Inspectors of Ontario, where she currently chairs the Public Health Workforce Committee. She has represented public health interests on numerous provincial and national committees and associations, influencing policy, shaping standards, guidelines and legislation, and championing initiatives.
