Several initiatives are currently underway to implement recommendations made in the wake of public health crises such as SARS and Walkerton to reform and revitalize the system that is in place to protect and promote health. Regular visits to these sites will assist you in keeping up to date on and providing input to these initiatives, as well as providing a picture of how they are interrelated. PublicHealthOntario.ca is a new source for public health information and resources. It contains links to important health notices, breaking news and the latest developments in public health and e-health, including many items that once resided with the Public Health Branch. The PHB site will continue to host certain limited access materials (Boil Water status reports and secure online reporting services).
