Nancy Nichols is a Registered Nurse and a member of the Brant Board of Health. She completed her RN in 1993 at Humber College, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ryerson University, an Operating Room certificate from George Brown College, a Master of Public Health from Lakehead University and has been a Registered Professional Nurse with The University of the State of New York Education Department, Office of the Professions since 1994. She has been a distinguished member of the Honor Society of Nursing Sigma Theta Tau International Lambda Pi-at-Large Chapter since 2006, and the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNA0). Nancy has extensive experience in family practice, public and community nursing, and has won several academic awards. She has been recognized for her volunteer work in Probation and Parole and has contributed to many Committees, Advisory Groups and Boards, including the Grand River Community Health Centre (GRCHC).
In addition to her nursing background, Nancy is a successful show rider and trainer of jumping horses, and an acknowledged coach and winner of a prestigious Canadian Equestrian Federation Equitation Medal. She is Operations Manager for Ontario Health Clinics Substance Abuse Management Clinics, where she addresses health inequity and applies harm reduction strategies to promote the goals of health promotion and prevention.
