Injury Prevention

Position:

Most injuries are preventable, and programs aimed at reducing them are effective ways of reducing disability and mortality caused by falls and other traumas. While public health units deliver programs based on narrowly defined obligations in the Mandatory Health Programs and Services Guidelines, other strategies aimed at reducing the rate of injuries in Ontario may be implemented through the policies of other Ministries of Government, including Labour and Municipal Affairs and Housing.
