Advisory Council on Drinking Water Quality and Testing Standards
Established by the Ministry of the Environment to review the Drinking Water Systems Regulation and make recommendations on provincial drinking water standards and other measures to improve the safety and quality of Ontario's drinking water supply.  Please click here to read background information.

Cancer Care Ontario - Ontario Cervical Screening Collaborative Group
The Ontario Cervical Screening Collaborative Group (OCSCG) was established in 1993, as a result of concern that the incidence and mortality rates of cervical cancer have not changed appreciably in Ontario over the last decade.  The goal of the OCSCG is to reduce the incidence and mortality rates of cervical cancer.

Cancer Care Ontario - Recruitment, Education and Communications Committee
The Recruitment Education and Communications Committee is an advisory committee to the OCSP as well as the Ontario Cervical Screening Collaborative Group (OCSCG).  The Recruitment, Education and Communications Committee links to the Recall and Follow-Up Committee.

Cancer Care Ontario - Provincial Cancer Prevention and Screening Program
This Council provides expert advice and support for the development of a cancer prevention strategy / system for Ontario to address Cancer 2020 targets, building on existing cancer prevention and screening activities in the province and engaging other relevant provincial and national chronic disease and cancer control initiatives.

Interagency Council of Food Safety
Member agencies of the Ontario Interagency Council on Food Safety (OICFS) share responsibility for ensuring a safe food supply thereby protecting and improving public health.  The OICFS’ goal is food safety excellence in Ontario.  The Council provides a means of information sharing and coordination of government partners.  These initiatives are in keeping with coordinating government food safety programming, while respecting the jurisdictional authority of member agencies.

Ontario Health Informatics Standards Council
The Ontario Health Informatics Standards Council (OHISC) is the council with the responsibility to recommend health informatics standards to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.  OHISC has the role of health standards leadership, advice and education in Ontario.  Health informatics standards allow for the secure exchange as well as consistency and comparability of electronic health information across the healthcare system.  Using standards is fundamental to the way personal health information will be managed in the future.

Community Action Working Group
This is the successor to the Ontario Tobacco Strategy Steering Committee. Some of the initiatives underway at CAWG include advocacy regarding 100% provincial tobacco enforcement funding, enforcement protocols and a central "Q&A" database.
