Dale Jackson
Dale Jackson has been with the Hastings and Prince Edward Counties Health Unit since March 1988 where he holds the position of Director of Administration. In addition to being a District Representative on the AOPHBA Executive since October of 1995, Dale has served as Vice-President and is currently serving a two year term as President of AOPHBA. He is also one of the AOPHBA representatives on the Public Health Financial Planning and Accountability Workgroup, having sat on the workgroup since its inception in 1999.

Ken Gorman
Ken Gorman began his public health career as a public health inspector in 1978 with Peel Region. In 1980, he joined the City of Scarborough Health Department, where he was the manager of Environmental Health and Communicable Disease from 1993 to 1999. Presently, Ken is Director of Environmental Health for the Durham Region Health Department. Besides sitting on the alPHa board as the representative for the Association of Supervisors Public Health Inspectors in Ontario (ASPHIO), he is active in many regional and provincial committees on emergency management and response, nuclear preparedness and air quality.

Gayle Bursey
Gayle Bursey is currently Director of the Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention Division for Peel Health. Before joining the Region of Peel in 2002, she headed the Health Promotion and Program Support Division in Lambton for 11 years. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences degree from Ryerson Polytechnic University, a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University, and is a Registered Dietitian. Gayle has also been involved in the Mandatory Program Review Steering Committees and Technical Review Committees to develop the last two versions of the Ministry of Health’s Mandatory Program Guidelines. Gayle represents Health Promotion Ontario on the alPHa Board of Directors, a position she has held since 2003.

Dr. Joyce Sinton
Trained as a dentist in the United Kingdom, Dr. Sinton worked in both private and public health practice for several years before emigrating to Canada. Following post-graduate training in dental public health at the University of Toronto, she was employed in Hamilton, Ont. for five years before moving to her current position as Dental Consultant for the Brant County and Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph health units. Dr. Sinton sits on the alPHa board as the representative of the Ontario Association of Public Health Dentistry (OAPHD).

Carolyn Kuntz
Carolyn Kuntz is a registered dietitian who has worked in public health for almost 20 years. During this time, Carolyn has practised as a public health nutritionist and as a manager/director. Currently she is working at the Elgin-St.Thomas Health Unit as Director of Health Promotion. She continues to be a member of the Ontario Society of Nutrition Professionals in Public Health (OSNPPH) and is their representative on the alPHa Board of Directors.
