Healthiest Province

The 0.5% advocacy campaign, which launched today, January 24, and continues until the end of March, is an extension of the Ontario Chronic Disease Prevention Alliance (OCDPA) Healthiest Province initiative and the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s successful Healthy Candidates campaign. This is a historic collaboration of health partners, led by the Heart and Stroke Foundation, that holds parties to their election promises and continues our push to make Ontario the healthiest province in Canada. Through MPP visits, local activations and engagement, social networking and a new and dynamic “Heart at the Park” advocacy day, we are going to do all we can to see this year’s budget increase spending on prevention and health promotion from 0.35% of the provincial budget to 0.5%.

Tell your MPP now that Better Health is Worth 0.5% by visit www.healthiestprovince.ca

Take action now!

Please take a moment to log onto the site, send a letter to your MPP, and follow the “share” function on the site to extend this call to action to your personal Facebook and Twitter networks.

Together we can stop exploding health care costs and ensure better, healthier lives for all Ontarians.
